Introduction
Water, Environment and Sanitation Society (WESS) is a non-profit, non-political, non-government development organization dedicated to bring lasting improvements in the quality of life of the poorest communities in Balochistan. WESS was established as an independent NGO in July 1999 and is registered with the Government of Balochistan, under the Societies Registration Act. A team of veterans and highly qualified professionals steer WESS towards achievement of its strategic programmes of Environmental health, Child rights and Child protection, Education, Community Development, Economic and Social Empowerment of marginalized communities and Humanitarian assistance during disasters or displacement. The organization adopts participatory and rights based approach to development in pursuit of all its development endeavours, for we believe that without participation and active involvement of people no change theory can ever be materialized. The Organization, since its inception has successfully implemented around 88 projects (both in development and humanitarian sector) in 24 districts, enabled it to reach around two millions beneficiaries in the province of Balochistan. The vast experience of WESS resulted to develop a robust and rewarding partnerships with numerous key national/international actors that give a lead edge to the organization to stand tall and confident on its developed competencies. The organization envisioned with creation of a prosperous and equitable society has developed the following achievable mission and objectives in order to significantly contribute in making its translation into reality possible.

To bring lasting improvement in the quality of life of marginalized communities, especially women and children through policy and practice interventions in Environmental health, Child rights and Child protection, Community Development and empowerment, and Humanitarian Assistance in disasters or displacement.

To improve social and physical environment for the disadvantaged people, especially women and children to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by disaster or displacement.
